Wow...this was mom's aunt Anna Janson who became Sr Kunigunda well before mom was born. She lived till she was 90 (1883-1973).
My sister Kathy barely remembers this visit in Campbellsport, except that when she graduated from high school, Sr Kunigunda "sent me a very personal grad card and pitch to be a nun, or at least pray alot. I think it was because of this visit"...lol
Imagine: mom's only living family of origin were three aunts--Rose, Francie and Sr Kunigunda. Mom would have been really aware of that...but look at the body language: Mom's hanging on, but Sr K's been separate for so many years she doesn't need to. Or, it could just be well developed 'custody of the hands'...lol

Farm Dogs
I think Nabers and Jansons always had favorite dogs. They liked being in the picture, too, I guess. ☺
I inherited Ida's photo album, and there are tons of dog photos without people. I'm sure Ida knew each one's name...
